| SCORE
(Service Corps of Retired Executives) is
a national, non-profit organization with
11,500 volunteer business counselors in
389 chapters throughout the United States
and its territories. Established in 1964,
we are a group of men and women that have
worked for a business or have owned a
business, who donate our time to serve as
trained counselors and advisors to
aspiring entrepreneurs and business
owners.
Our
experienced counselors provide FREE
counseling for individuals starting a
business and for small business owners.
In the calendar
year 2006, the La Crosse SCORE Chapter
409 handled 300 new cases, along with
sixteen follow-up cases from 2003. La
Crosse counselors put in a total of 500
volunteer hours to meet the needs of our
clients.
The La Crosse SCORE
Chapter 409 is located in the Chamber of
Commerce building, 712 Main Street, La
Crosse, WI 54601. Office hours at the
Chamber are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday
through Friday. For an appointment call
(608) 784-4880. The SCORE office is only
open on Mondays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
